Abstract:

In this Bachelor thesis, the analysis of the market demand for smartphones shows the past and current tendencies of amount of devices sold and the price during the period from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, with application of different microeconomic, macroeconomic and marketing theories and concepts. Particularly, the main determinants are the elasticity of price and proportion of income and marketing mix. Moreover, the detailed examination of pricing strategies and mechanisms represents how various producers of smartphones work with price and how it affects the quantity demanded. Furthermore, the specific analysis of the smartphone by marketing tool known as five-product level, demonstrates the device from numerous sides and its general possibilities and functions. Finally, the amount of implementation of innovations defines the competitiveness of companies in the global market share.
