Research of synergies between the quality of visual functions and external human locomotor manifestations

Abstract:

Předložená disertační práce se zabývá synergetickými vztahy mezi kvalitou zrakových funkcí a vnějšími lidskými pohybovými projevy - schopností vykonat a naučit se senzomotorickému úkolu. Výzkumného šetření se zúčastnilo 72 probandů, studentů tělesné výchovy a sportu FPE ZČU v Plzni, kteří absolvovali standardizované oftalmologické vyšetření a následně se podrobili senzomotorickým testům, u kterých jsou kladeny vysoké nároky na vizuální percepci a prostorovou orientaci. Získaná data byla vzájemně porovnávána s cílem prokázat vliv jednoduchého binokulárního vidění (nezávisle proměnné) na vybrané hodnoty senzomotorických testů (závisle proměnné). Za tímto účelem jsme využili Spearmanův korelační koeficient na hladině významnosti α = 0,05 (hladina spolehlivosti 0,95). Vzhledem ke složitosti celé problematiky a nemožnosti izolace závisle proměnných od vnějších, případně latentních vlivů, jsme se pokusili v rámci anamnézy sportovně pohybové činnosti odhalit i míru působení některých intervenujících faktorů. Na základě stanovených hypotéz a jejich ověření konstatujeme následující závěry: - vliv kvality jednoduchého binokulárního vidění (stereopse) na schopnost vykonat nebo se naučit senzomotorickému úkolu byl naším výzkumem prokázán v testech zrcadlového kreslení; - v testech supportního kreslení vliv kvality JBV na výše uvedené proměnné prokázán nebyl; - hodnoty centrální zrakové ostrosti i jednoduchého binokulárního vidění u studentů tělesné výchovy a sportu můžeme na základě získaných dat hodnotit oproti běžné populaci jako nadprůměrné; - anamnéza sportovně-pohybové činnosti hraje významnou roli v odhalení a interpretaci specifických motorických dovedností.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the issue of synergies between the quality of visual functions and external human locomotor manifestations – the abilities to execute and learn sensomotor tasks. Within the framework of our research, we tested 72 probands, students of FPE ZCU (Faculty of Education of the University of West Bohemia) in Pilsen. This group of the probands gradually underwent standardized ophthalmologic examinations and subsequent sensomotor tests, laying high emphasis on visual perception and spatial orientation. The obtained data were mutually compared in order to demonstrate the influence of single binocular vision (independent variables) on selected values of the sensomotor tests (dependent variables). For this purpose, we used the Spearman´s correlation coefficient at a significance level of α = 0.05 (confidence level of 0.95). With regard to the complexity of the points at issue and the inability to isolate dependent variables from external or latent influences, we tried to reveal also a measure of action of some intervening factors within the anamnesis of sports and physical activity. On the basis of defined hypothese and thein verification we can articulate following conclusions: - influence of quality of single binocular vision (stereopsis) on the ability to perform, or learn sensomotor tasks, was to demonstrate in our research in the mirror drawing tests; - in supporting drawing tests, influence of JBV quality on the above-specified variables was not demonstrated; - the values of central visual acuity and single binocular vision in students of physical education and sports can be evaluated as above-average, compared to the general population; - anamnesis of sport and physical activity plays an important part in the detection and interpretation of specific motor skills.
