Education Diagnostics of a pupil with risk of school failure symptoms

Abstract:

Cílem předkládané práce je poukázat na nezbytnost pedagogické a speciálněpedagogické diagnostiky jako východiska pro nastavení podpory pro žáky s rizikem školní neúspěšnosti. V práci se zaměřuji na možnosti pedagogické diagnostiky u žáků středních škol a identifikaci překážek, které brání účelné pedagogické diagnostice. Dospívající se setkávají s různými problémy, z nichž mohou pramenit rizika školní neúspěšnosti. Nejfrekventovanější obtíže v práci popisuji. Touto prací chci zdůraznit to, že i žák v období adolescence potřebuje oporu a případnou intervenci během svého vzdělávání. V první kapitole teoretické části se zaměřuji na vymezení termínu pedagogická diagnostika, charakterizuji její metody a předkládám možné překážky, které brání učitelům efektivně naplňovat podstatu pedagogické diagnostiky. Navazuji kapitolou, která pojednává o žákovi s rizikem školní neúspěšnosti, specifikuji termíny školní úspěšnost a neúspěšnost. Popisuji jednotlivé kategorie obtíží, z nichž vyplývají možná rizika školní neúspěšnosti. Součástí teoretické části je stručné vymezení období adolescence s důrazem na kognitivní, emocionální, sociální aspekty tohoto období. Přehled podpory a intervenčních možností u žáků s rizikem školní neúspěšnosti na střední škole tvoří poslední kapitolu teoretické části. V praktické části interpretuji výsledky dotazníkového šetření, které si kladlo za cíl zmapovat výskyt obtíží, z nichž vyplývá riziko školní neúspěšnosti, s kterými se učitelé středních škol setkávají nejčastěji a posoudit, zda je rozdíl v používaných metodách pedagogické diagnostiky u dvou kategorii žáků. U žáků s problémy vyplývající z obtíží v oblasti učení a u žáků s problémy vyplývajícími z obtíží v oblasti chování a prožívání. Součástí dotazníkového šetření bylo také pojmenovat překážky efektivní pedagogické diagnostiky a z toho vyplývající potřeby učitelů pro naplnění této skutečnosti. Příklady dobré praxe v podobě navržených plánů pedagogické podpory u čtyř žáků uzavírají praktickou část.

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis is to emphasize the necessity of pedagogical diagnostics and special pedagogical diagnostics as a starting point for initial setting of support for pupil with risk of school failure symptoms. I´m focusing on the process of possibilities of pedagogical diagnostics in high school pupils and identification of obstacles preventing them from being effective in pedagogical diagnostics. Adolescents can be confronted with various difficulties in this life stage which can be source for various risk of failure symptoms. In my theses I describe the most common problems. I would like to point out that pupils in the adolescence period might need support and potentialy intervention during their education. In the first chapter of the theoretical part I focus on defining the term pedagogical diagnostics, characterizing methods of pedagogical diagnostics and presenting possible obstacles that prevent teachers from effectively fulfilling the essence of pedagogical diagnostics. Next chapter is dealing with a pupil at risk of school failure, and further specifing the terms school success and failure. I describe individual categories of difficulties, which could result in school failure risk. The theoretical part is a brief definition of the adolescence period with an emphasis on the cognitive, emotional, social aspects of this period. The last chapter sumarizes support and intervention options for pupils at risk of school failure at high school. In the practical part, I interpret the results of the questionnaire, which was mapping the occurence of difficulties showing the risk of the most frequent school failures and to assess whether there is a difference in the methods of pedagogical diagnostics used in two categories of pupils. Pupils with problems arising from learning difficulties and pupils with problems arising from difficulties in behavior and experience. A part of the questionnaire was also to identify obstacels in effective pedagogical diagnostics. As a conclusion of practical part I define best practise sharing as proposed pedagogical support plans for four pupils.
