V teoretické části bakalářské práce jsem se zabývala obecnou definicí a obsahem pojmů zdraví a nemoc, reakcemi člověka na změny jeho zdravotního stavu, otázkou přístupu a komunikace s nemocným člověkem a obecným vztahem zdravotníka a pacienta.
