Abstract:

Disertační práce Proměny fenoménu poutí a poutníků v rakouském Slezsku od poloviny 18. století a v 19. století se soustředí především na čtyři barokní mariánské poutní lokality Bruntál (kostel Panny Marie Pomocné na Uhlířském vrchu u Bruntálu), Frýdek (kostel Navštívení Panny Marie ve Frýdku-Místku), Krnov (kostel Panny Marie Sedmibolestné a Povýšení svatého Kříže na Cvilíně u Krnova), Zlaté Hory (kostel Panny Marie Pomocné - Maria Hilf u Zlatých Hor). Cílem je celistvě zachytit a zpracovat mnohovrstevnatý fenomén poutní tradice v celé jeho rozmanitosti, tak jak měl dopad na sociokulturní sféru každodennosti poutníků. Pozornost byla soustředěna především na mariánský kult, lidovou zbožnost, hmotné prameny poutní tradice a každodenní život poutníků. Jako aktualizace pohledů a přístupů na dané téma vznikla kapitola zprostředkující pamětnická vyprávění, která měla zhodnotit vývoj poutní tradice 20. a 21. století, zachytit transformaci poutních areálů, popsat proměnu poutních tradic a reflektovat změny kolektivních mentalit poutníků. Charakter práce si vyžádal různorodé metodologické přístupy (rešerše odborné domácí i zahraniční literatury, pramenná kritika, terénní výzkum, analýza a komparace obrazových materiálů, sběr dat ke kvantitativním výzkumům, oral history). Z důvodu nekonzistentnosti pramenných materiálů u jednotlivých lokalit nemohlo dojít k plánované analýze a komparaci získaných dat, a proto bylo přistoupeno k formě jednotlivých studií, které svým charakterem nejlépe odpovídaly vybraným zkoumaným lokalitám a možnostem studia reálně existujících pramenů. Text doprovází současné a historické fotografie, tabulky a ilustrační mapy. V souvislosti s devocionáliemi (svaté obrázky, kramářské tisky, medailony, škapulíře apod.) vznikl komentovaný přehled dochovaných hmotných pramenů poutní tradice deponovaných v regionálních muzeích a institucích.

Abstract:

The dissertation, entitled The Changing Phenomenon of Pilgrimages and Pilgrims in Austrian Silesia from the Mid-18th century and in the 19th century, focuses primarily on four baroque Marian pilgrimage sites: Bruntál (the Church of Mariahilf on Uhlířský vrch near Bruntál), Frýdek (the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Frýdek-Místek), Krnov (the Church of the Severn Sorrows of the Virgin Mary on Cvilín hill near Krnov), and Zlaté Hory (the Church of Mariahilf near Zlaté Hory). Its goal is rather to capture and analyze the multi-layered phenomenon of the pilgrimage tradition as a whole, in all its diversity, and its influence on the socio-cultural aspects of the pilgrims day to day. The main concentration is on Marian devotions, folk religiousness, the primary sources on the pilgrimage tradition, and the everyday life of pilgrims. To put the perspectives and the approaches to the topic into context, a chapter presenting eyewitness accounts has been added. To evaluate the development of the pilgrimage tradition of the 20th and 21st centuries, capturing the transformation of the pilgrimage sites, give a detailed description of the pilgrimage traditions and reflect the changes in the collective mentality of pilgrims. The character of the dissertation required several different methodological approaches (the study of historical publications, the criticism of primary sources, field research, the analysis and comparison of visual materials, the collection of data for quantitative research, oral history). Due to the inconsistency of the primary sources from the various sites, the analysis and comparison of data could not be carried out as planned; instead, the method of analyzing case studies, based on their degree of typicality for the various sites and the possibilities to study the actual primary sources, has been adopted. The text is accompanied by contemporary and historical photographs, tables, and maps provided for reference. It is supplemented by a commented overview of the devotional objects (devotional graphic, cantastoria banners, lockets, scapulars, etc.) preserved as primary sources on the pilgrimage tradition in regional museums and institutions.
