Development of Diverse Intelligences in Preschool Children Through Stories with a Child Hero

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na rozvoj rozmanitých inteligencí u dětí předškolního věku prostřednictvím použití příběhů s dětským hrdinou. Teoretickým východiskem je Gardnerova teorie rozmanitých inteligencí, která klade důraz na rozličné formy inteligence. Práce zkoumá metody hodnocení inteligence, s důrazem na nástroj Davida Lazeara, a význam identifikace dětských schopností pro efektivní adaptaci vzdělávacích přístupů. Navrhuje inovativní vzdělávací strategie a jejich začlenění do školního kurikula za účelem optimalizace výsledků učení. Důkladně jsou zkoumány klíčové oblasti verbálně-jazykové, logicko-matematické, vizuálně-prostorové, tělesně-pohybové, hudební, intrapersonální, interpersonální a přírodovědné inteligence. Důraz je rovněž kladen na důležitost rozvoje čtenářské gramotnosti v předškolním věku, která je klíčová pro komplexní rozvoj dětí a poskytuje jim nástroje pro pochopení světa a úspěšnou čtenářskou kariéru. Cílem práce je vytvořit příběhy s dětským hrdinou a sadu aktivit podporujících rozmanité inteligence u dětí této věkové kategorie. V praktické části je představena didakticky zpracovaná sada aktivit podporujících rozmanité inteligence u dětí, spolu s průběhem týdenní realizace aktivit spojených s vybraným příběhem. Aktivity byly realizovány, ověřeny a evaluovány ve vybrané mateřské škole. Na základě evaluace jsou v závěru práce navržena doporučení pro praxi mateřských škol.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on developing diverse intelligences in preschool children through the use of stories featuring child heroes. The theoretical framework is based on Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, which emphasizes various forms of intelligence. The thesis explores methods of intelligence assessment, with an emphasis on David Lazear's tool, and the significance of identifying children's abilities for effective adaptation of educational approaches. It proposes innovative educational strategies and their integration into the school curriculum to optimize learning outcomes. Key areas of verbal-linguistic, logical-mathematical, visual-spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, intrapersonal, interpersonal, and naturalistic intelligences are thoroughly examined. Emphasis is also placed on the importance of developing reading literacy in preschool age, which is crucial for the comprehensive development of children and provides them with tools for understanding the world and a successful reading career. The aim of the thesis is to create stories with child heroes and a set of activities supporting diverse intelligences in children of this age category. The practical part introduces a didactically processed set of activities supporting diverse intelligences in children, along with the course of a weekly implementation of activities related to a selected story. The activities were implemented, verified, and evaluated in a selected preschool. Based on the evaluation, recommendations for the practice of preschools are proposed at the end of the thesis.
