Civic education in Republic of Kazakhstan

Abstract:

Budování způsobu myšlení a vytváření společenských institucí je základem rozvoje občanské společnosti. Země Střední Asie stále zůstávají pod vlivem autoritářských či hybridních režimů kvůli svým etnickým, kulturním a náboženským charakteristikám. Nespokojenost veřejnosti s přijatými normami a měnícími se zákony státu, touha po změnách v sociálním, ekonomickém a politickém sektoru v takových režimech koexistuje s nízkou úrovní vzdělání obyvatelstva a neznalostí základních občanských práv a svobod. Bakalářská práce má za cíl na základě sběru statistických údajů provést výzkum úrovně vzdělávání a života obyvatel Kazachstánu, prozkoumat existující instituce občanského vzdělávání v republice Kazachstán, definovat existující problémy spojené s nedostatečnou efektivitou prováděných akcí v dané oblasti a s pomoci výzkumného šetření nabídnout možná řešení nezbytných opatření ke zvýšení úrovně občanského i sociálního vzdělání ve společnosti republiky Kazachstán.

Abstract:

Building a way of thinking and creating social institutions is the foundation for the development of civil society. Central Asian countries still remain under the influence of authoritarian or hybrid regimes due to their ethnic, cultural, and religious characteristics. The public's dissatisfaction with adopted norms and changing laws in such regimes coexists with a low level of education among the population and a lack of knowledge of basic civil rights and freedoms. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to conduct research on the level of education and standard of living of the population of Kazakhstan through the collection of statistical data, explore existing civil education institutions in the Republic of Kazakhstan, define existing problems associated with the insufficient effectiveness of actions in the field, and based on academic surveys, offer possible solutions for necessary measures to increase the level of civic and social education in Kazakhstan society.
