Education of a patient with Crohn's disease

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na téma edukace pacienta s Crohnovou chorobou. Cílem práce je sestavení návrhu edukačního plánu a následná realizace edukace. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí - teoretické a empirické a tří ústředních kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá Crohnově chorobě, historii onemocnění, etiologii a patogenezí, klinickému obrazu nemoci, diagnostickými postupy, léčbě, možnými komplikacemi onemocnění a ošetřovatelskou péčí. Obsahem druhé kapitoly je edukace, u níž práce přibližuje zásady, formy a metody edukace, představuje cíle edukačního procesu, zaobírá se edukačním procesem samotným a edukací v ošetřovatelství. V praktické části byl vyhotoven plán edukačního procesu pro konkrétní pacientku trpící Crohnovou chorobou, jenž zahrnoval pět edukačních jednotek. Edukační proces obsahuje pět edukačních jednotek. U každé z jednotek byl naplánován obsah sezení a vytyčeny afektivní, kognitivní a psychomotorické cíle. Jelikož byla pacientce na základě komplikací způsobené Crohnovou chorobou vyšita ileostomie, byla do procesu zahrnuta také edukace o výměně stomického sáčku a péči o okolí stomie. Edukace se stala nedílnou součástí ošetřovatelského procesu a o jejím významu není pochyb, i proto je důležité ji neustále zdokonalovat. Správná edukace má za cíl seznámit pacienta s onemocněním, s možnostmi léčby, případnými komplikacemi a ostatními opatřeními, jež jsou pro danou nemoc nezbytná. Efektivní edukace by měla pacienta připravit ke zvládnutí celého procesu kolem nemoci.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the topic of education of patients with Crohn's disease. The aim of the work is to compile a draft educational plan and subsequent implementation of education. The work consists of two parts - theoretical and empirical and three central chapters. The first chapter deals with Crohn's disease, history of the disease, etiology and pathogenesis, clinical picture of the disease, diagnostic procedures, treatment, possible complications of the disease and nursing care. The content of the second chapter is education, in which the work introduces the principles, forms and methods of education, presents the goals of the educational process, deals with the educational process itself and education in nursing. In practice, a plan of the educational process for a specific patient suffering from Crohn's disease was prepared, which included five educational units. The educational process contains five educational units. For each of the units, the content of the session was planned and affective, cognitive and psychomotor goals were set. As the patient was embroidered with an ileostomy due to complications caused by Crohn's disease, the process also included education about changing the ostomy bag and caring for the area around the stoma. Education has become an integral part of the nursing process and there is no doubt about its importance, which is why it is important to constantly improve it. Proper education aims to acquaint the patient with the disease, treatment options, possible complications and other measures that are necessary for the disease. Effective education should prepare the patient to master the whole process around the disease.
