Development of cycling recreation of the Prostějov agglomeration

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou a rozvojem cyklorekreace v Prostějově a jeho okolí. První část práce seznamuje čtenáře se souvisejícími pojmy jako je rekreace, cyklistika a její druhy, kterými jsou cyklodoprava a cykloturistika. První část také zmiňuje základní legislativní dokument, věnující se cyklistice. Následuje seznámení a popis zájmového území, kterým je Prostějov a jeho blízké okolí. Je zde popsán stav cyklistické dopravy a infrastruktury a úroveň cyklorekreace a prvků, které s ní souvisejí. V další části práce následuje analýza cyklistiky ve vybraných městech České republiky, kterými jsou Praha, Brno a Olomouc. Zároveň práce obsahuje i analýzu cyklistiky na příkladech měst ze zahraničí, a to v Kodani, Stockholmu a Bratislavě. V rámci práce byl proveden dotazníkový průzkum na obyvatelích Prostějova a okolí, na téma cyklistické dopravy a cyklorekreace na Prostějovsku. Výsledky a jejich grafické zpracování jsou popsány v kapitole č. 6 této práce. V poslední kapitole jsou na základě zjištěných dat z dotazníkového průzkumu a z analýzy vybraných měst popsány návrhy a doporučení, které přispějí ke zlepšení a rozvoji cyklistiky a cyklorekreace na Prostějovsku.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the issue and development of cyclorecreaction in Prostějov and its surroundings. The first part of the thesis acquaints the reader with related concepts such as recreation, cycling and its types, which are bicycle transport and bicycle touring. The first part also mentions the basic legislative document devoted to cycling. The following is an introduction and description of the area of interest, which is Prostějov and its immediate surroundings. It describes the state of bicycle transport and infrastructure and the level of cyclo-recreation and elements related to it. The next part of the work is an analysis of cycling in selected cities in the Czech Republic, which are Prague, Brno and Olomouc. At the same time, the work also contains an analysis of cycling on the examples of cities from abroad, namely in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Bratislava. As part of the work, a questionnaire survey was conducted on the inhabitants of Prostějov and its surroundings, on the topic of bicycle transport and cycling recreation in the Prostějov region. The results and their graphical processing are described in Chapter 6 of this work. In the last chapter, based on the data obtained from the questionnaire survey and the analysis of selected cities, proposals and recommendations are described that will contribute to the improvement and development of cycling and cycling in the Prostějov region.
