Influence of selected factors on characteristics surface finishes

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na analýzu faktorů přípravy povrchu masivního dřeva, vlivu vybraných klimatických podmínek a přípravy vzorků na drsnost plochy před konečnou povrchovou úpravou a po povrchové úpravě. Práce dále hodnotí dopad přípravy povrchu na výslednou kvalitu nátěrového filmu. Zkoumán je vliv vybraných metod přípravy povrchu (broušením brusnými papíry, cidlinou, ocelovou vlnou a kartáčováním) při různých teplotách materiálu a prostředí (-30 °C, +23 °C a +50 °C). Testované dřeviny jsou, smrk ztepilý (Picea abies) a dub letní (Quercus robur L.). Kromě toho tato práce porovnána vztahy mezi předem upravenými vzorky dřeva, na které je nanášena syntetická alkydová nátěrová hmota nebo vodouředitelná nátěrová hmota a kvalitou docílené hladkosti plochy vzorků. Zde jsou sledované charakteristiky zejména změna drsnosti, odolnost nátěrového filmu, tvrdost nátěrového filmu a vzhledové vlastnosti. V práci je stanovena metodologie testování upraveného povrchu a zvolen set kvalitativních vlastností, které jsou vyhodnocovány.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the analysis of the factors of solid wood surface preparation, the effect of selected climatic conditions and sample preparation on surface roughness before final surface treatment and after surface treatment. The thesis further evaluates the impact of surface preparation on the resulting quality of the coating film. The influence of selected methods of surface preparation (sanding with sandpaper, sandpaper, steel wool and brushing) at different temperatures of the material and environment (-30 °C, +23 °C and +50 °C) is investigated. The tested trees are Norway spruce (Picea abies) and summer oak (Quercus robur L.). In addition, this work compared the relationships between pre-treated wood samples on which a synthetic alkyd paint or water-based paint is applied and the quality of the achieved surface smoothness of the samples. Here, the observed characteristics are mainly the change in roughness, the resistance of the coating film, the hardness of the coating film and the appearance properties. In the thesis, the methodology of testing the modified surface is determined and a set of qualitative properties is selected, which are evaluated.
