Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou věkem podmíněných onemocnění oka a současnými vědeckými poznatky o úloze výživy ve vztahu k rozvoji a progresi zmíněných očních onemocnění. This diploma thesis deals with the issue of age-related eye diseases and current scientific knowledge about the role of nutrition in relation to the development and progression of these eye diseases. The theoretical chapter describes these eye diseases, their risk factors and also deals with the role of vitamins, carotenoids, minerals and diet.
