Opera Brundibár: A Comparison of Two Productions
Abstract:
Tato práce si klade za cíl porovnat a analyzovat dvě zcela odlišná provedení dětské opery skladatele Hanse Krásy a libretisty Adolfa Hoffmeistera - Brundibár. Jedná se o původní verzi, jež se hrála za druhé světové války v terezínském ghettu a moderní inscenaci režisérky Vandy Drozdové, jež byla uvedena v ND Brno v roce 2006.
Abstract:
The main focus of this thesis is to compare and analyze two completely different interpretations of the children opera Brundibár by composer Hans Krása and librettist Adolf Hoffmeister. First is the original version performed in the Terezín ghetto during the World War II, second is the modern adaptation of this opera by director Vanda Drozdová played in the National Theatre Brno in 2006.
