Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je porovnání dvou typů učitelů anglického jazyka - učitele, jehož mateřský jazyk je angličtina, a učitele, jehož mateřský jazyk je čeština. Práce je rozdělená do dvou částí. Teoretická část definuje základní pojmy použité v práci. Pojednává o přínosu obou typů učitelů pro jazykové vzdělávání a zároveň prezentuje a porovnává názory různých autorů na výhody a nevýhody vyplívající z jejich rozdílného jazykového původu. Věnuje se též otázce využívání mateřského jazyka v hodinách anglického jazyka. Praktická část se skládá z výsledků pozorování hodin vedených jen v anglickém jazyce a hodin vedených v anglickém jazyce s pomocí mateřského jazyka studentů a učitele. Cílem této práce je poskytnout porovnání obou typů učitelů, jejich přínos pro jazykové vzdělávání a, díky údajům získaným z pozorování hodin, i porovnání specifických situací, které z jejich rozdílného jazykového původu vyplývají.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor thesis is a comparison of two types of an English teacher – a native English speaker teacher and a non-native English speaker teacher. It is dealt with in two parts. The Theoretical part defines the most important terms dealt with in the thesis, discusses the contribution of both of the teachers to the language education and, finally, introduces and compares opinions of several authors on advantages and disadvantages of particularities resulting from their different language background. It also addresses the issue of the mother tongue usage in English lessons. The Practical part comprises results from observations of lessons led solely in English and those with help of the mother tongue. The aim of the thesis is to offer a comparison of the two types of teachers, describe their contribution to language education and, owing to the data collected during the observations, specific situations resulting from their different language background.
