Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje komparaci her Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven a Mafia: Definitive Edition. Obě hry jsou porovnány z hlediska příběhu a postav, herního světa a lokací a z pohledu herních mechanik a hratelnosti. Kromě nalezení a popsaní rozdílů je rovněž cílem poukázat na společné vlastnosti obou her a na důvody konkrétních změn a inovací, které vývojáři hry Mafia: Definitive Edition oproti původní hře učinili.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is dedicated to the comparison of Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven and Mafia: Definitive Edition. These two games are compared in terms of story and characters, game world and locations and also in terms of game mechanics and gameplay. In addition to finding and describing the differences, the aim is also to point out the common features of both games and the reasons for the specific changes and innovations that the developers of Mafia: Definitive Edition have made compared to the original game.
