Motivational factors selected students informational literacy courses at VUT Brno

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá tématem motivace ve vzdělávání, konkrétně pak faktory, které motivují studenty, aby absolvovali e-learningový kurz informační gramotnosti na VUT v Brně. Po teoretickém vymezení základních pojmů z oblasti motivace, informační gramotnosti a jejich výzkumů následuje část praktická. Ta reflektuje výsledky smíšeného výzkumu, který byl realizován se studenty třech vybraných fakult, na kterých jsou různě nastavené podmínky pro absolvování kurzu. Kvalitativní část výzkumu v podobě polo-strukturovaných rozhovorů je doplněna částí kvantitativní, konkrétně pak analýzou hromadného dotazníku. Na základě výsledků výzkumu byla v závěru práce stanovena doporučení pro odbourání bariér při rozvoji motivace studentů.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the topic of motivation in education, specifically the motivational factors of students of the e-learning course on information literacy at Brno University of Technology. After theoretical definitions of the basic motivation concepts, information literacy and their researches, follows the practical part. Practical part reflects the results of mixed methods research, which was realized with students of three selected faculties, which have a different course adjustment. The qualitative part of the research in the form of semi-structured interviews is supplemented by a quantitative part, namely a collective questionnaire analysis. On the basis of the research results, at the end of the thesis, was created a list of recommendation, which was made for the elimination of barriers in the development of students motivation.
