Social work with elderly citizens in context of the family

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou částí, z části teoretické a aplikační. Teoretická část je rozdělena na dvě kapitoly. V první kapitole se zabývá aspekty stárnutí, stárnutí populace a vztahu seniora s rodinou, v této kapitole jsou představeny, jaké změny nastávají ve stáří, potřeby seniorů a také stárnutí v populaci. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na sociální práci a sociálního pracovníka a zároveň na sociální práci se seniorem. Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat a analyzovat nepříznivou sociální situaci žadatelů ve spolupráci s rodinou a sociálním pracovníkem v pobytové službě. Aplikační část je zaměřena na pobytovou službu SAREPTA Komorní Lhotka, domov pro seniory, přesněji na vybrané klientky služby. V aplikační části popisuji a analyzuji na konkrétních příkladech co předcházelo přijetí klienta do pobytové sociální služby domova pro seniory. Hlavní metodou sběru dat je analýza spisové dokumentace klientů, která byla doplněna o techniku rozhovoru s klientem a sociálním pracovníkem.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, a theoretical and an application part. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. The first chapter deals with aspects of aging, population aging and the relationship of the senior with the family. In this chapter are presented what changes occur in old age, the needs of seniors and aging in the population. The second chapter is focused on social work and a social worker and at the same timeon social work with a senior. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to descibe and analyze the unfavorable social situation of applicants in cooperation with the family and a social worker in the residential service. The application part is focused on the home for the elderly SAREPTA Komorní Lhotka, more precisely on selected clients. In the application part, I describe and analyze specific examples what preceded the admission of the client to the residential social service of a home for the elderly. The main method of data collection is the analysis of clients´ file documentation, which was supplemented by the technique of interviewing the client and the social worker.
