Amateur football or Why people play football at the amateur level?

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na motivaci jednotlivců k hraní fotbalu na amatérské úrovni. Cílem výzkumu je zjistit, proč se lidé rozhodují věnovat tomuto sportu ve svém volném čase. Práce zkoumá, jaké emoce a pocity hráči při fotbale prožívají, jaké jim přináší benefity a jak ovlivňuje jejich život. Výzkum byl proveden kvalitativní metodou s využitím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se dvěma informanty, kteří se aktivně věnují amatérskému fotbalu. Analýza dat byla provedena pomocí tematické analýzy, která identifikovala pět hlavních kategorií: emoce, sociální aspekty, benefity, hraní a ostatní. Výsledky ukazují, že amatérský fotbal přináší hráčům nejen fyzické a psychické benefity, ale také sociální interakce a emocionální uspokojení. Hráči prožívají širokou škálu emocí, od radosti po vztek, a nacházejí v tomto sportu únik od každodenního stresu. Fotbal také hraje významnou roli v jejich sociálním životě, přináší jim přátelství a pocit sounáležitosti. Tato práce přispívá k hlubšímu porozumění motivace a přínosů amatérského fotbalu a může být užitečná pro trenéry, hráče i pro širší veřejnost zajímající se o tento sport.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the motivation of individuals to play football at the amateur level. The aim of the research is to find out why people decide to devote themselves to this sport in their free time. The work examines what emotions and feelings players experience during football, what benefits it brings them and how it affects their lives. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews with two informants who are actively involved in amateur football. Data analysis was performed using thematic analysis, which identified five main categories: emotions, social aspects, benefits, play and others. The results show that amateur football brings players not only physical and mental benefits, but also social interactions and emotional satisfaction. Players experience a wide range of emotions, from joy to anger, and find in this sport an escape from everyday stress. Football also plays an important role in their social lives, bringing them friendship and a sense of belonging. This work contributes to a deeper understanding of the motivation and benefits of amateur football and can be useful for coaches, players and the general public interested in this sport.
