CONTEMPORARY PLACEMENT OF A STAGE DESIGNERIN DEVISING THEATRE

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá tématem postavení scénografa v devising theatre. Nejdříveuvádí čtenáře do tématu krátkou charakteristikou o metodě devising a následně hoprovází ukázkami jedné německé skupiny zabývající se dokumentárním divadlem ajedné české skupiny, jež se svým laboratorním přístupem pohybuje na hranice mezidivadlem, výzkumem a performancí. Dále čtenáře seznamuji se svými třemi projekty,které vznikaly na bázi devising theatre a reflektuji jejich přípravy, průběh, výsledek apostavení scénografa v nich.

Abstract:

The main topic of this piece is the placement of a stage designer in devising theatre.At first there is a short characteristic of the devising methods. Then there is illustratedthe work of one German group which is dealing with the method of documentarytheatre. As a following topic you can find the work of one Czech group which is usingthe laboratory approach in theatre. Thanks this approach their work is still on theedge between theatre, research and performance. At the end I listed my tree projectsin which we used the method of devising theatre. I am reflecting the process ofpreparation as well as the process of creating, its result and of course the placementof the stage designer.
