An Architect, an engineer and a worker within construction process during the long 19th century

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce se zabývá dějinami stavitelství z pohledu aktérů a účastníků stavebního řízení. Časově je těžiště práce kladeno do období dlouhého devatenáctého století s vymezením na jedné straně zhruba Vídeňským kongresem a na druhé první světovou válkou. V textu jsou rozpracovány teoretické základy povolání školených stavitelů zejména architektů a inženýrů. Zřetel je kladen na genezi těchto povolání a proměny chápání povolání architekta a inženýra ve sledovaném období. Kontext dotváří dobový právní rámec, na kterém jsou prezentovány možnosti, pravomoci a postihy pro účastníky stavebního řízení. Zvláštní zřetel je věnován stavebnímu procesu a možnosti získání stavební koncese. Nedílnou součástí práce je oddíl o technickém vzdělávání v Evropě a na našem území. Vedle konkrétních informací je problematika postavení architekta a inženýra uvedena do dobového dějinného a uměleckého kontextu podpořeného dobovou architektonickou teorií.

Abstract:

The presented thesis deals with the history of construction from the perspective of actors and participants in the construction proceedings. In terms of time, the focus of the work lies within the long nineteenth century, defined on the one hand by the Congress of Vienna on the other hand by the First World War. The text elaborates the theoretical foundations of the profession of trained builders, especially architects and engineers. Attention is paid to the genesis of these professions and changes in the understanding of the professions of an architect and an engineer in the period under review. The context is completed by the Framework of contemporary law, in which the possibilities, powers and sanctions for the participants in the construction proceedings are presented. Special attention is paid to the construction process and the possibility of obtaining a construction concession. An integral part of the work is a section on technical education in Europe and in the Czech Lands. In addition to specific information, the issue of the position of an architect and an engineer is introduced into the contemporary historical and artistic context supported by contemporary architectural theory.
