Professional indemnity insurance, its importance and role in CZ and EU countries

Abstract:

V diplomové práci, rozebírám a popisuji, principy pojištěním profesní odpovědnosti, jeho teorii a samozřejmě i související právní úpravu. Dále pak význam a úlohu tohoto pojištění, jak ve státech EU, tak ČR. Hlavním z cílů, této práce, bylo provést analýzu dat u vybraných pojišťoven na našem trhu a poukázat, na vývoj tohoto pojištění z hlediska přijatého pojistného a pojistného plnění pojišťoven, během sledovaných let. V práci si kladu i další cíl, a to posoudit jak velký má toto pojištění význam pro pojištěného, právě s ohledem na skutečnost, možného krytí rizika tímto pojištěním.

Abstract:

In the thesis, I analyse and describe the principles of professional liability insurance, its theory and of course even related legislation. Furthermore, the importance and role of this insurance, both in the EU and the Czech Republic. One of the main objective of this work was to make an analysis of data for selected insurance companies in our market and to point at the development of this insurance in terms of premiums and loss ratio during this analysed years. In the thesis there is also another objective, to assess how much is this insurance important for an insured in connection with the further insurance coverage.
