Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá jednou z refrakčních vad optického systému oka – myopií. V první části práce jsou popsány různé druhy krátkozrakosti a rizikové faktory, které ovlivňují vznik i další progresi vady. Dále práce obsahuje souhrn diagnostických možností, jimiž je možné myopii odhalit a zjistit velikost vady. V další části jsou popsány možnosti korekce a léčby, nebo alespoň zpomalení progrese vady, a to jak pomocí neinvazivních metod, tak těch invazivních, jimiž jsou chirurgické zákroky. Poslední část se věnuje některým možným komplikacím spojeným především s vysokou a patologickou myopií.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with one of the refractive errors of the optical system of the eye - myopia. In the first part of the thesis there are described different types of myopia and risk factors that influence the development and progression of the refractive error. Then, the thesis contains a summary of diagnostic options that can be used to detect myopia and to determine its degree. The next part describes the options of correction, treatment, and other methods, which can slow down the progression of myopia. These methods can be noninvasive or invasive ones such as surgical interventions. The last part deals with some potential complications associated mainly with high and pathological myopia.
