Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou předmětu 4IT436 Business Intelligence za účelem zjištění aktuálního stavu s cílem přinést návrh změn, se zaměřením primárně na semestrální práci. V úvodní kapitole diplomové práce je provedena analýza současného stavu, aby bylo možné zhodnotit, pro které části má smysl navrhovat změny. Na analýzu navazuje kapitola věnovaná dotazníkovému šetření, které proběhlo pouze mezi studenty, kteří měli předmět mezi zimními semestry 2018/2019 a 2019/2020. Otázky byly postaveny tak, aby doplnily analýzu a přinesly názory studentů na jednotlivé časti předmětu. První dvě kapitoly se shodují v tom, že je předmět veden zkušenými vyučujícími, ale v rámci technologií semestrální práce by bylo dobré přijít s novým řešením. Třetí kapitola se věnuje základům Business Intelligence a popisuje jednotlivé kroky, se kterými se v semestrální práci aktuálně pracuje. Předposlední kapitola se věnuje aktuálním trendům v oblasti Business Intelligence, a z důvodu velkého náskoku technologií oproti předmětu, zahrnuje i trendy a technologie, které byly uvedeny dříve. Poslední kapitola vychází ze všech předešlých kapitol, přináší shrnutí předmětu a návrhy na změny. Hlavní částí poslední kapitoly je návrh řešení semestrální práce v Azure, které nabízí plně cloudové řešení a studenti si díky němu mohou osahat novější technologie. Řešení v Azure je tvořeno po jednotlivých krocích, aby podle něj mohli studenti postupovat, a navíc jsou do příloh zahrnuty scénáře, které se zaměřují na ukázková řešení.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the course "4IT436 Business Intelligence" to determine the current state of the course to propose changes, focusing primarily on the semestral paper. In the introductory chapter of the diploma thesis, an analysis of the current state is performed to evaluate for which parts it makes sense to propose changes. The analysis is followed by a chapter devoted to a questionnaire survey, which took place only among students who had the course between the winter semesters 2018/2019 and 2019/2020. The questions were designed to complement the analysis and bring students' views on individual parts of the course. The first two chapters agree that experienced teachers lead the subject, but within the technologies of the semestral paper, it would be good to come up with a new solution. The third chapter deals with the basics of Business Intelligence to describe the individual steps currently being used in the semestral paper. The penultimate chapter deals with current trends in Business Intelligence, where due to the large lead of technology over the subject, trends and technologies that were mentioned earlier are also included. The last chapter is based on all previous chapters and summarises the subject and suggestions for changes. The main part of the last chapter is the design of a solution for a semestral paper in Azure, which offers a full cloud solution, and thanks to it, students can touch newer technologies. The solution in Azure is created step by step so that students can follow it, and in addition, scenarios that focus on sample solutions are included in the appendices.
