The echoes of Bohumil Kubišta’s theory in the texts of Jánuš Kubíček

Anotácia:

Bakalářská diplomová práce „Ozvuky teorie Bohumila Kubišty v textech Jánuše Kubíčka“ si klade za cíl zmapovat společné tendence teoretických poznatků obou umělců prostřednictvím komparace tematicky shodných či podobných textů. Druhotně se snaží na základě dostupných materiálů vyvodit, které body Kubíčkovy teorie mohou cíleně navazovat či reagovat na Kubištovy texty. Po obecné charakteristice díla obou umělců se práce věnuje v širších dobových souvislostech Kubíčkovu studiu díla Bohumila Kubišty, dále jejich společné inspiraci dílem Paula Cézanna a s tím souvisejícím textům. Posléze jsou v centru zájmu další společné rysy teorií, formulované zejména v souvislosti se snahou definovat znaky slohů a stylu.

Abstract:

The aim of the Bachelor thesis „The echoes of Bohumil Kubišta’s theory in the texts of Jánuš Kubíček“ is to map the joint tendencies of theoretical findings of both artists by comparison of thematically parallel or similar texts. Its subsidiary purpose is to conclude, on the basis of available materials, which ideas of Kubíček’s theory may consciously follow or react on Kubišta’s texts. After the general characterizing of the work of both artists, the thesis is in wider contemporary view focusing on Kubíček’s studies of Bohumil Kubišta’s works, then on their shared inspiration by Paul Cézanne’s works and on the texts that are connected to this. Eventually another common features of their theories are discussed, mostly those that are formulated in connection with the effort to define characteristic of styles.
