Study of the spectra of the star HD 74275

Abstract:

V předložené práci studuji spektrum hvězdy HD 74275 získané v rámci projektu ESO "UVES Paranal Observatory Project". Studium vybraného spektra hvězdy zahrnuje jeho základní popis, je provedena identifikace čar vodíku a dalších chemických prvků ve spektru a z posunu spektrálních čar je určena radiální rychlost hvězdy v heliocentrické soustavě. Současně jsou určeny některé spektrální čáry molekul vzniklé průchodem záření atmosférou Země. Část této práce se také zabývá vybraným přehledem teoretických znalostí vztahujících se k cíli práce.

Abstract:

In the submitted thesis I study the spectrum of a star HD 74275 obtained in terms of the ESO project "UVES Paranal Observatory Project". The study of chosen spectra includes its basic description, which means identification of hydrogen and other spectral lines of chemical elements, and determination of the radial velocity of the star in heliocentric rest frame from shifts of the spectral lines. I also identify spectral lines of molecules originated from transfer of radiation through the Earth’s atmosphere. First part of the thesis also deals with chosen overview of theoretical knowledges referring to the objective of the thesis.
