Magisterská diplomová práce "Bitva v kontextu vývoje vojenství v 1. polovině 17. století" zachycuje vývoj vojenství ve strategické i taktické rovině mezi léty 1590 - 1648. Hlavním cílem je přiblížit bitvu jako podstatu válečného umění dané epochy prostřednictvím taktik používaných tehdejšími armádami i pohledem tehdejších důstojníků. This master final thesis "Battle in context of military development in 1st half of 17th century" shows military development on strategical and tactical level between years 1590 and 1648. The main objective of this thesis is to describe the battle as the essence of the military art in context of tactics used by armies of this age and the contemporary views of officers.
