The education of teenage girls about menstruation

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá edukací dospívajících dívek o menstruaci. Jelikož je menstruace důležitou součástí života ženy, bylo hlavním cílem se zaměřit na informovanost dospívajících dívek o menstruaci a menstruačním cyklu. V teoretické části jsme zabývaly třemi tématy, zahrnující anatomii ženského reprodukčního traktu, nefarmakologické tlumení menstruačních bolestí a menstruační pomůcky. Praktická část zahrnuje dotazníkové šetření, kde jsme se zaměřili na jednotlivá témata z teoretické části. Z výsledků vyplývá, že většina respondentek má dobré znalosti ohledně menstruace, ale stále je na čem pracovat. Proto doporučujeme zaměřit se na informovanost dospívajících dívek o menstruaci.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with educating adolescent girls about menstruation. Since menstruation is an important part of a woman's life, the main aim was to focus on the awareness of adolescent girls about menstruation and the menstrual cycle. In the theoretical part, three topics were addressed, including the anatomy of the female reproductive tract, non-pharmacological methods for alleviating menstrual pain, and menstrual hygiene products. The practical part includes a questionnaire survey, where we focused on the individual topics from the theoretical part. The results indicate that the majority of respondents have good knowledge about menstruation, but there is still room for improvement. Therefore, we recommend focusing on educating adolescent girls about menstruation.
