Plant invasions in the floodplain habitats of the Odra river, northern Moravia

Abstract:

Práce podává charakteristiku výskytu nepůvodních, zejména invazních druhů rostlin v nivě řeky Odry v CHKO Poodří. Na náhodně zvolených lokalitách přiřazených k různým šesti biotopům byly zapsány fytocenologické snímky na plochách o velikosti 16 m2 a v jejich okolí do vzdálenosti 100 m byly sepsány formační typy vegetace s jejich procentuálním zastoupením a invazní druhy rostlin hodnocené třístupňovou škálou hojnosti výskytu. U každé lokality bylo zaznamenáno, zda byla v jejím blízkém okolí přítomna vodní plocha nebo ruderální vegetace a zda patřila do pěti-, dvaceti- nebo stoleté záplavové zóny. V 78 zapsaných snímcích bylo zaznamenáno celkem 230 druhů, z toho bylo 32 nepůvodních druhů, z kterých bylo 20 archeofytů se 7 invazními druhy a 12 neofytů, z nichž bylo invazních 11 druhů. V okolí snímků bylo zaznamenáno celkem 37 invazních druhů, z toho 11 archeofytů a 26 neofytů. V nelesních biotopech se hojněji vyskytovaly archeofyty a největší zastoupení neofytů bylo pozorováno v měkkých luzích. Nejinvadovanějším biotopem území byla ruderální vegetace, nejfrekventovanějším archeofytem byl druh Cirsium arvense, který se vyskytoval ve všech pozorovaných biotopech, a nejčastějším neofytem druh Impatiens parviflora, který se kromě lesních biotopů vyskytoval i v rákosinách a ruderální vegetaci. Počty invazních druhů a invazních archeofytů v okolí snímků se zvyšovaly s přítomností vodní plochy i ruderální vegetace v blízkém okolí. Prokazatelný vliv měla také příslušnost lokality k záplavové zóně. Statisticky významný rozdíl byl mezi pěti a stoletou záplavovou zónou a projevoval se vyššími počty i pokryvnostmi invazních druhů a archeofytů v pětileté záplavové zóně.

Abstract:

Plant invasions in the floodplain habitats of the Odra River, northern Moravia The thesis describes the occurrence and habitat affinities of alien plants, particularly invasive species in the floodplain of the Odra River in the Poodří Protected Landscape Area. Vegetation was recorded using vegetation plots (relevés) of 16 m2, which were made at randomly selected sites and assigned to six various habitats. Within 100 m circles around the relevés, habitat types were recorded, together with their percentage representation and invasive plant species, which were assessed using a three-degree scale of abundance. For each site, presence of a water body or stream and vegetation in the surrounding area was recorded, as well as whether it was situated in a 5-year, 20-year, or 100-year flood zone. There were 32 of alien species among 230 species in 78 relevés recorded. Archaeophytes comprised 20 species and 7 species of them were invasive. Neophytes were represented by 12 species and 11 species of them were invasive. In the relevé surroundings 37 invasive species were recorded, including 11 archaeophytes and 26 neophytes. Archaeophytes were more common in non-forest habitats, while the highest representation of neophytes was observed in willow-poplar floodplains forests. The habitat with the highest level of invasion was ruderal vegetation. The most frequent archaeophyte was Cirsium arvense, which occured in all studied habitats. The most frequent neophyte was Impatiens parviflora, which was common in forests, but also occurred in reed beds and ruderal vegetation. The number of invasive species and invasive archaeophytes in the surrounding area of the relevés increased with the presence of both water body/stream and ruderal vegetation. The flood zone was also important: a statistically significant difference occurred between 5-year and 100-year flood zone, the former characterized by a higher number and abundance of invasive species and archaeophytes.
