The Great Yasa and Mongol Society
Abstract:
Diplomová práce má za cíl seznámit čtenáře s významnou osobností mongolských dějin Čingischánem a především pak se zákoníkem Velká jasa, který byl vyhlášen na Velkém sněmu roku 1206. Nedílnou součástí výkladu je i pohled na dobovou mongolskou společnost a to nejen očima evropských cestovatelů.
Abstract:
The aim of the thesis is to acquaint the reader with the significant personality of Mongolian history - Genghis Khan and especially with a code of laws called The Great Yasa, which was proclaimed at the Great Assembly in 1206. The integral part of the thesis is the view of the Mongol society, not only through the eyes of European travelers.
