Providing complete IT infrastructure in a Cloud

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřená na dnes velice často zmiňovaný pojem cloud computing. Přináší vymezení tohoto pojmu a popis jednotlivých modelů nasazení a distribučních modelů. Dále srovnává historii cloud computingu v Česku a zahraničí. Stejné srovnání je dále použito i v analýze současného stavu tohoto tématu, kde jsou také definované rozdíly využívání cloudových řešení v Česku a zahraničí společně s jejich důvody. Dále je uvedeno, jakým způsobem lze identifikovat služby, které by byli vhodné pro provoz v cloudu. Hlavním cílem práce je srovnání poskytování kompletního IT v cloudu s on-premise řešením. K dosažení tohoto cíle byla definovaná společnost, pro kterou byla vytvořena infrastruktura on-premise a cloud řešení. Na tuto infrastrukturu jsou navázané služby, které jsou svoji funkcionalitou totožné pro obě řešení. Díky tomu lze vytvořit cenovou analýzu obou řešení prioritně rozdělenou na investiční a roční provozní náklady. K porovnání obou řešení byly využity metody SWOT analýzy, návratnosti investic a nákladové varianty. Hlavním přínosem práce je poskytnou dostatečné množství informací pro rozhodování mezi kompletní infrastrukturou převedenou do cloudu nebo on-premise řešením. Toho je dosaženo prezentací všech hlavních aspektů a informací, které toto rozhodnutí mohou ovlivnit.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on Cloud computing which highly mention term these days. It defines this term with all its service and deploy models. It also compares cloud history in Czech Republic with foreign countries. Same comparison is used to analyze current state of this term together with its reasons. Next focus is on identification of company's IT services which would be the best to use as cloud solution. Main goal of this thesis is to compare providing all IT services in the cloud with on-premise solution. The company first with cloud and second with on-premise infrastructure was defined to achieve this goal. All used services were defined to be used at cloud and on-premise infrastructure. Functionality of those services match witch cloud and on-premise infrastructure. It is possible then to create finance comparison of both solutions because functionality of those solutions matches together. SWOT analysis, TCO and ROI were used to compare both solutions. The main contribution of this thesis is to give sufficient amount of information to decide between on-premise or cloud architecture of providing IT services. Thesis provides main solution properties with other information to reach this goal.
