The research of readiness of children with hearing impaired parents for selected aspects of school attendance

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá školní připraveností v oblasti sluchového vnímání a řeči dětí žijících s rodiči se sluchovým postižením. Cílem práce je zjistit úroveň sluchového vnímání a řeči ve všech jazykových rovinách dětí neslyšících rodičů v předškolním věku a následně prozkoumat názory třídních učitelů dětí rodičů se sluchovým postižením na jejich nástup do prvních tříd základních škol. V teoretické části jsou zpracována základní témata, zejména se jedná o vymezení školní zralosti, školní připravenosti, vymezení předškolního věku a termínu CODA. Praktickou část tvoří výsledky šetření s využitím metodického manuálu Školní zralost - co by mělo umět dítě před vstupem do školy a následné rozhovory s učiteli těchto dětí. Výzkumný vzorek tvoří 7 respondentů, děti v posledním ročníku mateřské školy, které následně v průběhu výzkumu nastoupí do 1. ročníku základní školy. Na závěr této práce jsou uvedeny konkrétní závěry plynoucí z výzkumného šetření a doporučení využitelná ve speciálně pedagogické praxi.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with school readiness in the field of hearing perception and speech of children living with parents with hearing impairment. The aim of the work is to find out the level of auditory perception and speech in all language levels of children of deaf parents in preschool age and subsequently to examine the opinions of teachers of children of parents with hearing impairments on their entry into the first classes of primary schools. The theoretical part deals with the basic topics, especially the definition of school readiness, preschool age and the term CODA. The practical part consists of the results of the reaserch with the use of manual School Readiness - what a child should be able to do before starting school and interviews with teachers of these children. The research sample consists of 7 respondents, children in the last year of kindergarten, who will start to the first class of primary school during research. At the end of this work are given concrete conclusions resulting from the research investigation and recommendations usable in the special pedagogical practice.
