The Function of the Department of General Criminality in Opava in the Section of Crime

Abstract:

Diplomová práce popisuje poslání a strukturu Policie České republiky s bližším zaměřením na Oddělení obecné kriminality v Opavě. Tomuto oddělení bude v diplomové práci věnována samostatná kapitola, ve které budou funkce vybraného oddělení popsány. V práci budou rovněž popsány jednotlivé druhy trestné činnosti a vybrané právní předpisy, kterými se Policie České republiky řídí. V praktické části bude proveden výzkum a analýza trestné činnosti spáchané v okrese Opava za období od 2014 do 2019 s analýzou vytíženosti a podílu objasněnosti celého okresu Opava ze strany Oddělení obecné kriminality v Opavě. Na základě provedených výsledků bude možné provést zhodnocení práce Oddělení obecné kriminality v Opavě za uvedené období s případným návrhem na zlepšení efektivnosti práce samotného oddělení.

Abstract:

The thesis described the mission and structure of the Police of the Czech Republic with the focus on the General Crime Division in Opava. In the thesis there was a separate chapter devoted to this division describing its functions. The thesis also described the individual types of criminal activity and the selected law regulations which the Police of the Czech Republic complies with. In the practical part there was a research and an analysis conducted focusing on the criminal activity committed in the district of Opava in the period from 2014 to 2019 including the analysis of the occupancy and of the clarity ratio of the whole district of Opava by the General Crime Division in Opava. Based on the results it was possible to evaluate the work of the General Crime Division in Opava in the given period with a possible suggestion for improvement of the work efficiency of the division itself.
