Tracing the Past: Megalithic Monuments in Ireland (An Analysis of Existing Pieces of Knowledge of Their Significance and Function)
Abstract:
This thesis deals with megalithic monuments in Ireland. It characterizes their types and describes the symbols of megalithic art. Part of this thesis is devoted to individual examples of these monuments. It outlines the conservation of such monuments and last but not least, it focuses on their future.
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá megalitickými památkami v Irsku. Charakterizuje jejich základní rozdělení a popisuje symboly megalitického umění. Značná pozornost je věnována jednotlivým příkladům těchto monumentů. Práce nastiňuje také péči, která je těmto památkám věnována a v neposlední řadě se zabývá jejich budoucností.
