China's social credit system and its impacts

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá čínským systémem sociálního kreditu. Dále jsou analyzovány jeho socioekonomické dopady na čínskou ekonomiku a společnost. Hlavním cílem mé práce je zjistit, jak čínský sociální kreditový systém ovlivnil, respektive ještě ovlivní chování jednotlivců a firem v ČLR a jaké ekonomické a sociální dopady bude mít. Výzkumná otázka si klade za cíl prozkoumat dopady SCS na jednotlivé subjekty uvnitř a vně ČLR. Dílčím cílem práce je prozkoumat reakci mezinárodních organizací a západních zemí, a to především USA, EU, Amnesty International a Human Rights Watch. V první kapitole je charakterizován sociální kreditový systém a specifika jeho fungování. Druhá kapitola je věnována sociálním a ekonomickým dopadům systému, a to zejména se zaměřením na jednotlivce a podniky. Třetí kapitola se zabývá současnými problémy a nedostatky systému sociálního kreditu. Závěrečná kapitola je zaměřena především na reakci západních zemí a mezinárodních organizací na systém.

Abstract:

This thesis examines China's social credit system. Its socio-economic implications for the Chinese economy and society are also analysed. The main objective of my thesis is to find out how China's social credit system has affected, or will affect in the future, the behaviour of individuals and firms in the PRC and what economic and social impacts it will have. The research question aims to explore the impacts of the SCS on individual subjects inside and outside the PRC. A secondary aim of the thesis is to explore the response of international organisations and Western countries, particularly the US, the EU, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. The first chapter characterizes the social credit system and the specific characteristics of its operation. The second chapter focuses on the social and economic impacts of the system, with a particular focus on individuals and businesses. The third chapter examines the current problems and shortcomings of the social credit system. The final chapter focuses primarily on the response of Western countries and international organisations to the system.
