Songs and plays in German language textbooks

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou učebnic německého jazyka pro 1. stupeň ZŠ. Obsahová analýza učebnic je zaměřena na písně a hry ve dvou vybraných učebnicích. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty hlavní charakteristiky žáků mladšího školního věku, z nichž pak následně vyvozuji jejich potřeby, které by se měly odrážet v organizaci výuky tak, aby byla pro žáky adekvátní. V tomto kontextu zmiňuji důležitost využívání metod, které pracují právě s hrou a písní ve výuce německého jazyka na 1. stupni ZŠ. Krátce shrnuji také poznatky, které jsou spojeny s funkcí učebnice. Praktická část popisuje výběr jednotlivých metod pro výzkum, kterými jsou obsahová analýza učebnic a polostrukturovaný rozhovor. Výsledky obsahové analýzy jsou komentovány a doplněny grafickým znázorněním. Následně jsou tyto výsledky konfrontovány s poznatky z rozhovoru.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of German language textbooks for the primary education. The content analysis of textbooks is focused on songs and games in two selected textbooks. In the theoretical part, the main specifics of primary education pupils are summarized. Their needs are then deduced according to their specifics and they should be reflected in the organisation of teaching to ensure adequacy. In this context, I mention the importance of using methods that work specifically with games and songs in German language teaching at primary schools. Findings about the functions of textbooks are briefly summarized. The practical part describes the selection of several research methods which are content analysis of textbooks and a semistructured interview. The results of the content analysis are complemented with a graphic representation and interpreted. Subsequently, these results are confronted with findings from the interview.
