Quality of information transfer to clients of travel agencies

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje procesu předávání informací klientům cestovních kanceláří se zaměřením na leteckou přepravu. Cílem je zhodnotit kvalitu předávaných informací mezi prodejcem zájezdu (cestovní kanceláří) a zákazníkem. Tato práce odpovídá na dvě výzkumné otázky. První z nich je zjistit, zda předané informace zahrnují vše, co klienti potřebují vědět, aby jejich odbavení na letišti proběhlo bez komplikací. Druhá výzkumná otázka se týká jejich interpretace, zda jsou úplné a srozumitelné. Teoretická část se zabývá charakteristikou kvality při poskytování služeb a právními aspekty. Dále jsou zhodnoceny tři konkrétní cestovní kanceláře na základě recenzí na webových portálech. Práce se také zabývá soudními spory na téma špatné informovanosti klientů cestovních kanceláří. Praktická část je rozdělena do dvou výzkumů. Pro první výzkum je využita metoda kvantitativního dotazníkového šetření a analyzuje pohled pracovníků odbavení cestujících na informovanost cestujících na Letišti Václava Havla v Praze. Druhým výzkumem je kvalitativní zhodnocení dokumentů poskytovaných cestovními kancelářemi o letecké přepravě. Výstupem práce je zhodnocení předávaných informací.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis describes the process of information transfer to clients of travel agencies with a focus on air transport. The aim of this study is to evaluate the process of information transfer between the holiday package seller (travel agency) and its clients. This study has two major purposes. The first purpose is to investigate whether the information provided contains everything essential that the clients need to know so that their check-in at the airport goes smoothly. The second purpose is focused on interpretation, whether the information is complete and understandable. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of quality in the provision of services and legal aspects. In addition, three specific travel agencies are evaluated based on reviews on web portals. The thesis also deals with legal disputes on the topic of ill-informed clients of travel agencies. The empirical part is divided into two types of research. A quantitative questionnaire survey method is used for the first part. The questionnaire analyzes the view of check-in agents on how the passengers are informed. The respondents who took part in the study are check-in agents at Václav Havel Airport Prague. The second research is a qualitative evaluation of documents provided by travel agencies about air transportation. The output of the thesis is the evaluation of provided information.
