Readjustment and social relationships of MU students returning from Erasmus exchange programs

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá průběhem přizpůsobení u studentů MU vracejících se z výměnných studijních programů Erasmus. Protože podobné výzkumy byly prováděny zatím převážně v angloamerickém či asijském prostředí, byl zvolen kvalitativní výzkum, který měl za cíl zjistit, jak probíhá přizpůsobení po návratu ze zahraničí u studentů MU. V teoretické části práce je popsán kulturní šok, kulturní šok z návratu a proměnné, které průběh přizpůsobení mohou ovlivňovat. Výzkum byl proveden pomocí metody polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a data poté analyzována pomocí obsahové analýzy.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on adjustment of MU students returning from Erasmus exchange programs. Due to the fact, that similar researches were conductet mostly in Asian or Anglo-American environment, qualitative approach was used for this thesis to learn how MU students percieve readjustment to home culture upon return from abroad. Theoretical part of this work describes culture shock, reentry (reverse) culture shock and variables, that can influence the process of readjustment. Semi-structured interviews were used for this work and data were analysed through content analysis.
