The Space Aspects and Characterictics of Collective Memory in the City Bytča

Abstract:

The thesis uses the concepts of collective memory, space and social identity, to reflect on shared ideas about common space, inhabitants of Bytča. Ideas of space are captured through parts of the city, notional boundaries within the space, major cities and landmarks of the local population. Theoretical knowledge is supplemented by information gathered by field research in the locality.

Abstract:

Práca využíva koncepty kolektívnej pamäti, priestoru a sociálnej identity, na reflexiu zdieľaných predstáv o spoločnom priestore, obyvateľov mesta Bytča. Predstavy o priestore, sú zachytené prostredníctvom častí mesta, pomyselných hraníc v rámci priestoru, miest a dominánt významných pre miestnych obyvateľov.
