Voices of Meltingpot – audiovisual possibilities at the open air festival

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou procesu výroby autorské série Voices of Meltingpot, jež je jedním z významných a originálních projektů mezinárodního diskusního fóra Meltingpot, přidruženého od roku 2016 k multižánrovému open air festivalu Colours of Ostrava. V teoretické části se věnuji historii fóra, audiovizuálním výstupům, s nimiž fórům pracuje, historii a vývoji projektu Voices of Meltingpot a technologií Eye Direct, resp. práci s mluvícími hlavami. Praktická část se zaměřuje na proces přípravy, natáčení, postprodukce a distribuci projektu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the production process of the author's series Voices of Meltingpot, which is one of the significant and original projects of the international discussion forum Meltingpot associated since 2016 with the multi-genre open air festival Colours of Ostrava. In the theoretical part, I discuss the history of the forum, the audiovisual outputs that the forum works with, the history and development of the Voices of Meltingpot project, and Eye Direct technology, or more precisely working with talking heads. The practical part focuses on the process of preparation, filming, post-production and distribution of the project.
