Experimental mechanical analysis of thermally modified glued lamella beam with reinforcement

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřena na hledání alternativního materiálu pro konstrukční účely, který by mohl v budoucnu zcela nahradit běžně používané jehličnaté dřevo. Výzkum byl tedy zaměřen na lepené lamelové nosníky z modifikovaného bukového dřeva vyztuženého čedičovou výztuží. Pro zvýšení odolnosti vůči působení abiotických a biotických činitelů bylo dřevo ošetřeno termickou modifikací při teplotě 180°C po dobu 3 hodin. Snížení mechanických vlastností/pevnostních a tuhostních charakteristik vlivem vysokých teplot termické modifikace bylo cílem zvýšit použitím čedičové výztuže. Lepení lamel polyuretanovým (PUR) lepidlem se provedlo za účelem zvýšení homogenity modifikovaného bukového dřeva. V praktické části se výzkum zabývá zkouškou pevnosti modifikovaných bukových lepených lamelových nosníků v 4-bodém ohybu. Bylo vytvořeno 8 nosníků ze tří na sebe vrstvených lamel, z čehož čtyři nosníky byly s čedičovou výztuží a čtyři byly bez výztuže. Výsledky ohybových zkoušek nosníků a vliv použité výztuže byl na závěr statisticky vyhodnocen a studován metodou korelace digitálního obrazu (DIC).

Abstract:

The thesis is aimed at finding an alternative material for structural purposes that could completely replace commonly used coniferous wood in the future. The research was therefore focused on glued lamellar beams made of modified beech wood reinforced with basalt reinforcement. To increase the resistance to abiotic and biotic factors, the wood was treated by thermal modification at 180°C for 3 hours. The aim of reducing the mechanical properties / strength and stiffness characteristics due to the high temperatures of the thermal modification was to increase the use of basalt reinforcement. Adhesion of the lameles with polyurethane (PUR) glue was carried out to increase the homogeneity of beechwood. In the practical part, the research deals with the test of the strength of modified beech glued lamella beams in 4-point bending. Eight girders were created from three layered blades, of which four were with basalt reinforcement and four were without reinforcement. The results of bending tests of beams and the effect of the used reinforcement were finally statistically evaluated and studied by the digital image correlation (DIC) method.
