Predicatives in Contemporary Russian and Czech Languages

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the predicative in the present Russian and Czech languages. The aim of the theoretical part is to introduce the term of predicative and to describe its characteristics. The theoretical part also classifies the words belonging to this category according to their origin and meaning. The emphasis is put on introducing opinions and perspectives of significant Russian and Czech linguists who were concerned with the predicative. This part also outlines both the historical and the present point of view in the predicative. The practical part of the thesis deals with the analysis of selected Russian texts in a journalistic and artistic style. The excerpted material is analyzed individually in a journalistic style and then in a style of art.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na kategorii stavu v současném ruském a českém jazyce. Cílem teoretické části práce je seznámení se s pojmem predikativum, jeho obecná charakteristika, klasifikace slov spadajících do této kategorie podle původu i významu. Důraz je kladem na představení názorů a pohledů významných ruských a českých lingvistů týkajících se problematiky kategorie stavu. Rovněž je zde nastíněna její historie i současný pohled. Praktická část práce se zabývá analýzou vybraných ruských publicistických a uměleckých textů. Excerpovaný materiál je analyzován zvlášť v publicistickém a zvlášť v uměleckém stylu. V závěru jsou oba styly porovnány.
