Conception of Virtue in Ethics of Ayn Rand and Aristotle
Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zabývá pojetím ctnosti u Ayn Randové a Aristotela. Zaměřuje se na ctnost obecně stejně jako na konkrétní ctnosti. Jejím cílem je obě pojetí porovnat a zjistit, nakolik jsou si podobná. Vychází především z knihy Atlasova vzpoura od Ayn Randové a jejího příspěvku Objektivistická etika, které jsou následně porovnávány s Etikou Níkomachovou od Aristotela.
Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with Ayn Rand's conception of virtue and Aristotle's conception of virtue. It focuses on a virtue in general as well as on specific virtues. The aim of this thesis is to compare both conceptions and find out how similar these conceptions are.
