This master's thesis focuses on the verbs of sensual perception and their seman-tics in two languages – Finnish and Slovak. It is also dealt in this thesis with the term fictive motion, which finds its place amongst different possible usages of verbs of sensual perception. Táto diplomová práca sa zameriava na slovesá zmyslového vnímania a ich sé-mantiku v dvoch jazykoch, slovenskom a fínskom. Práca ďalej rozoberá aj po-jem fiktívny pohyb, ktorý si nachádza svoje postavenie pri konkrétnych použi-tiach slovies zmyslového vnímania.
