The Narcissism of Minor Differences in Social Sciences

Abstract:

Anotace: Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o konceptu narcismu malých rozdílů v souvislosti s jeho použitím ve vědách o společnosti. Práce popisuje koncept narcismu malých rozdílů, tak jak byl předložen v díle Sigmunda Freuda a rovněž to, jak je chápán současnými sociálními vědci. Jsou vymezeny vztahy k pojmu narcismus v psychoanalýze, k pojetí kulturního narcismu u Christophera Lasche a Gilla Lipovetského a sociálního narcismu u Ericha Fromma. Práce Ericha Fromma o sociálním narcismu jeví a konceptem narcismu malých rozdílů mnoho podobností. Také s prací Gilla Lipovetského byly nalezeny paralely. Práce předkládá příklady využití konceptu narcismu malých rozdílů ve vědách o společnosti, a to v oblasti mezinárodních vztahů, etnických, rasových a sociálních konfliktů, i vtahů na pracovišti. Kromě jiných se zabývá studiemi A. Bloka a P. Kolstø. A. Blok representuje entuziastický postoj ke konceptu narcismu malých rozdílů, zatímco P. Kolstø reprezentuje pesimistický a kritický postoj.

Abstract: This bachelor thesisis about the concept of the narcissism of minor differences and its aplication in social sciences. Thesis describe the concept of the narcissism of minor differences in the writings of Sigmund Freud and haw this concept is used by conterporary social scientists. The relationships between The narcissism of minor diferences and the concept of narcissism in psychoanalysis, in approach to cultural narcissism in the writings of Christophera Lasche and Gille Lipovetsky and social narcissism of Erich Fromm. The work The Ericha Fromms work about social narcissism is finded very similar to the concept of the narcissism of minor differences. There are some paralels in the work of Gille Lipovetsky. The examples of using the concept of the narcissism of minor differences in the social science are presented: in the area of international relationships, ethnic, racial and social conflicts, the conflicts on the workplace. Except other studies this thesis work with studies of A. Bloka and P. Kolstø- A. Bloka represend the enthusiastic proach to the concept of the narcissism of minor differences, P. Kolstø represent the pesimistic and critical one.
