Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o postavení prezidenta republiky. Je uvozena historickým exkurzem, v němž je popsáno historické pozadí prezidentského úřadu na našem území i v jiných moderních demokratických státech. Hlavní část práce je věnována podmínkám volitelnosti prezidenta a srovnává jeho postavení v případě zvolení nepřímou a přímou volbou, dále srovnání postavení prezidenta v různých typech republiky, a také soudní kontrole činnosti prezidenta. Závěrečnou kapitolu práce tvoří krátké pojednání o současném prezidentovi České republiky. Práce je doplněna tazatelským průzkumem formou písemného dotazování.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the status of the president of republic. It is introduced by historical excursus, in which the historical background of the presidential office in our state, and in different modern democratic states as well, is described.The fundamental part of this thesis is dedicated to the conditions of the president’s eligibility, and it compares his status in case of being elected in indirect and direct election, then to the comparision of the status of the president in different types of republic, and to the court control of his action as well. The closing chapter consists of a short tract about the current president of the Czech republic. This thesis is supplied by research made by a questionary survey.
