Company criteria for new employees selection

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce se věnuje oblasti firemních kritérií při výběru zaměstnanců na absolventské pozice ve zkoumané organizaci. V teoretické části práce jsou prezentovány koncepty týkající se role personální strategie a definice pracovního místa v procesu výběru zaměstnanců. V následujících kapitolách jsou uvedeny teze ohledně výběrových kritérií, chyb v percepci a rozhodování. Praktická část práce za použití kvalitativní výzkumné metody a techniky rozhovorů, analýzy dokumentů a retrospekce dává odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku: Je množina firemních kritérií shodná s množinou kritérií aplikovaných stakeholdery v rámci procesu výběru absolventů?. Protože cílem práce je porozumění, byla hlavní výzkumná otázka doplněna o chyby v percepci o aspekt rozhodování. Z empirické části práce vyplynulo, že ačkoliv tato skutečnost není většinou stakeholderů uvědomována, jsou jimi aplikována i firemní kritéria. Převažují však vlastní kritéria stakeholderů, která se mezi nimi navzájem různí. Rovněž bylo zjištěno, že proces výběru není prost chyb ve vnímání absolventů a že v něm hraje zásadní roli intuitivní rozhodování.

Abstract:

The thesis is devoted to criteria of recruiting for graduate positions in the organization. In the theoretical part of the thesis we present concepts concerning the role of HR strategy and the definition of a job position. The following chapters of the thesis present the selection criteria, errors in perception and decision making process. The practical part of this thesis using quantitative research methods and interview techniques, document analysis and retrospection gives the answer to the key question: Is a company´s set of criteria consistent with a set of criteria that the stakeholders apply in the process of recruiting graduates? Because the goal of this work is to understand, the main research question was accompanied by errors in perception and aspect of decision making. The practical part of the thesis showed that although this is not usually stakeholder awareness, during the recruitment process they also apply the company´s criteria. However own criteria of stakeholders prevail; this criteria also differ between themselves. It was also found that the recruitment process is not free of errors in the perception and the intuitive decision making plays a crucial role.
