The role of computed tomography in the planning of aortic valve catheterization implantation

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na roli výpočetní tomografie v plánování katetrizační implantace aortální chlopně. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V teoretické části se věnuji popisu srdce a srdečních chlopní, popisu výpočetní tomografie a přehled ke katetrizační implantaci aortální chlopně (TAVI). V praktické části se zaměřuji na analýzu a vyhodnocení nashromážděných dat ke studii. Ve studii analyzuji počet pacientů, kteří podstoupily CT koronarografii před katetrizační implantaci aortální náhrady a následně počet pacientů, kteří podstoupily zákrok TAVI. Dále jsem analyzovala rozdíly velikostí obvodu anulu určené z CT koronarografie lékařem z Fakultní Nemocnice Ostrava a určení velikosti obvodu anulu z firmy MEDTRONIC.

Abstract:

My bachelor theses are focused on the role of Computed Tomography in the planning of catheterization implantation of the aortic valve. Theses are in the theoretical part and practical part. In the theoretical part I deal with the description of heart and heart valves, description of Computed Tomography and overview of catheterization implantation of aortic valve (TAVI). In the practical part, I focus on analyzing and evaluating the accumulated data for the study. In the study, I analyzed the number of patients who underwent CT coronarography prior to catheterisation implantation of aortic replacement and subsequently the number of patients who underwent TAVI. I also analyzed the differences in the size of the annular circumference determined by the CT coronarography by a physician from the Faculty Hospital of Ostrava and the determination of the magnitude of the circuit of the annular from MEDTRONIC.
