Physical therapy for femur fracture in an elder subject with Parkinson?s disease: case report.

Abstract:

Femoral fractures require a time of abstention from the absolute load, after which it is necessary to start physiotherapy early. In the presence of a clinical picture of Parkinson's disease it is even more important to start the rehabilitation plan immediately. The present report shows a clinical case with a high level of co-morbidity in that the fracture of the femoral neck, Parkinson's disease and type 2 diabetes are present. The objective of this work will be to verify if the totality of applied protocols for the rehabilitation they will allow to reach the set objectives and to guarantee to the patient the correct carrying out of the ADL and a consequent good quality of life. The conclusions of the work will be specified in the elaborate.

Abstract:

Le fratture di femore necessitano di un tempo di astensione dal carico assoluto, dopodiché č necessario iniziare la fisioterapia precocemente. In presenza di un quadro clinico di malattia di Parkinson č ancora piů importante iniziare il piano riabilitativo da subito. Il presente elaborato riporta un caso clinico con un elevato livello di comorbilitŕ in quanto sono presenti la frattura del collo del femore, la malattia di Parkinson ed il diabete di tipo 2. L?obiettivo di questo lavoro sarŕ di verificare se la globalitŕ di protocolli applicati per la riabilitazione permetteranno di raggiungere gli obiettivi prefissati e garantire al paziente il corretto svolgimento delle ADL ed una conseguente buona qualitŕ di vita. Le conclusioni del lavoro verranno specificate nell?elaborato.
