Tato práce zkoumá kulturu New York City přes umění Keithe Haringa a Jean-Michela Basquiata. Analýzou jejich uměleckých děl a zdrojů, jako jsou dokumentární filmy a rozhovory, je zkoumáno, jak politika, společnost, a kultura New Yorku ovlivnily umění a životy těchto dvou umělců. This thesis examines the culture of 1980s New York City through the art of Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Through the analysis of their artwork and primary sources, including documentaries and interviews, this thesis inspects how the city's politics, societal issues, and underground culture shaped the artists' lives and artistic expressions.
