Comparison of tax burden in the Czech Republic and United Kingdom from the personal income taxation point of view

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of the tax burden of individuals in terms of personal income tax in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. In the theoretical part of the thesis attention is paid to the analysis of the tax systems of both countries and the analysis of the methodology for calculating the tax liability of the individuals. Based on the comparison of Czech and British tax practices an analysis of income tax differences and its influence on final tax amount is provided in the practical part of the thesis. Brief attention is paid to the question of international income tax and how to prevent double taxation of income earned abroad from Czech and British legislation point of view.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca pojednáva o problematike daňového zaťaženia fyzických osôb z hľadiska dane z príjmu v Českej republike a Veľkej Británii. V teoretickej časti je pozornosť venovaná rozboru daňových systémov oboch krajín a analýze metodík pre výpočet daňovej povinnosti fyzických osôb. Na základe porovnania jednotlivých daňových postupov je v praktickej časti poskytnutá analýza rozdielov v zdanení príjmov a ich dopad výslednú na daň. Krátka pozornosť je venovaná otázkam zdanenia medzinárodných príjmov a spôsobom zamedzenia dvojitému zdaneniu príjmov zo zahraničia z pohľadu českého a britského práva.
