Hyaluronan (HA) je glykosaminoglykan extracelulární matrix. Navzdory své jednoduché struktuře je zapojen v celé řadě biologických funkcí, jako je například embryogeneze a hojení ran, neméně důležitá je jeho pasivní funkce tlumiče nárazu například v chrupavce a zajímavá je i jeho role v kancerogenezi. Hyaluronan (HA) is a glycosaminoglycan of extracellular matrix. Despite its simple structure, HA is involved in many biological functions, such as embryogenesis and wound healing, equally important is its passive function as shock absorbers in cartilage and interesting is its role in carcinogenesis.
